Brew York - City of Ale 2018

This weekend we headed over to York for the afternoon for the Brew York, City of Ale beer festival. Now in its third year, the festival is a celebration of Yorkshire Breweries. Hosted in the Taproom and new beer hall next door, it was a maze of interesting spaces both in and outdoors.

Hosting a selection of brewery bars, as well as the large selection of Brew York beers there were plenty or Yorkshire beers to choose from. The session naturally split in two with live music and DJ’s during the first part, followed by the England vs Sweden world cup game on in the taproom and beer hall. Still, the amount of space worked for those wanting to watch the game as well as those who fancied enjoying the sun and beers. A great range of beers with plenty of standouts, although the award for the best bar has to go to Brass Castle for the Piano keg bar!
